Configuring: Resample
Choose the timestamp field to use and a different sampling period for resampling your data. Also select whether to interpolate between values, or to repeat the previous value. The modified dataset will contain the new timestamps, but will retain the original data values, except where values are interpolated.
Steps to configure
-
Configure resampling: Select the timestamp field, and specify the sampling period.
-
Execute: The dataset will be resampled, replacing the timestamps with new values at the defined resampling period.
Step 1: Configure resampling
Select the timestamp field, and specify the sampling period.
Timestamp field:
-
Select which timestamp field will be resampled.
-
The start and end times of this field will define the data window.
-
When reconfiguring this operation, the maximum and minimum values of the chosen timestamp field are not shown.
-
Default: the first timestamp field in the dataset is selected.
-
Minimum configuration: one timestamp field must be selected.
Sampling period:
-
Select the new period by which to resample the dataset.
-
This is defined in seconds.
-
Default: 10 seconds
-
Minimum configuration: sampling period should be greater than 0.
Interpolate values:
-
Select whether to interpolate values or not.
-
Default: Interpolation is not selected.
Step 2: Execute
A new dataset will be created, with the timestamp field showing timestamps at the resampled periods. The values of the fields will not change, and new timestamps created with no values will be filled with either the last known values or interpolated values.
